Ocean Jasper from Madagascar is almost totally mined out and difficult to find. I left a little bit of the natural druzy in this landscape piece when I cut it.

I love picture stones and it is difficult to find good landscapes within the slices of rock that I cut. But this slab presented 4 “treescapes” to be turned into unique pendants. This jasper comes from Mexico.

This was painted from sketches I made in Canyonlands National Park. It was juried into the 2011 International Quilt Association exhibit in Houston. It also received a Judges Choice Award at 2012 PA Quilt National.
